Hunt, catch, eat, sleep. That is the order a cat is built to run in, several times a day. Indoor cats skip the first two steps, and the energy comes out at 3 AM or on your ankles.

The Hunt Wand is the hunt you do together. Ground Prey is the hunt that happens while you are busy. The Forage Puzzle turns dinner into the catch.

The Indoor Hunter Kit: questions, answered

Why does my cat go crazy at night?

Cats are most active at dawn and dusk, and an indoor cat that has slept all day has energy to spend. A proper play session in the evening, followed by food, moves the zoomies to a better hour.

My cat ignores toys. Will this help?

Cats ignore toys that do not act like prey. A wand you move like a bird or a mouse, and a ball that moves on its own, are different from a toy lying still on the floor.

How much should an indoor cat play?

Aim for two sessions of about 10 minutes a day, and let them catch the toy at the end.
